Some days I take exhaustingly deep breaths.
I dare my body to suffocate on the abundance of life, but it coughs up resistance as if we are at war with each other.
I'm certain that when it all starts to fade it's already too late, and the dust will start to collect it's debt from this temporary flesh.
In the end these bodies will be terraced with wrinkles, as time presses against the sleeves of mortality.
Beauty will pour from our souls as the body folds; we will reflect on the things we could have done differently.
How we could have chosen love over vanity,
And persuaded ourselves to live more passionately.
But the curse of man resides in having hindsight while walking blind,
Rebuking lessons and teaching mistakes how to survive.
Do not give life the opportunity to make an example out of you.
Some lessons are too harsh for even the strongest of hearts.
