Another Year Has Passed

Another year has passed.

It seems so monumental.

I've wasted time and run away;

The truth is rarely gentle.

Countless hours I've spent waiting.

But instead of playing my own song,

To change my operation,

I merely change the station.

But all this time has not been wasted,

I've grown in ways unseen.

My mind is open and my heart is ready,

To see the things between

Life is rarely black and white;

It flashes by so fast.

And while I wander through the gray,

Another year had passed.
