Mr. Nobody

Who are you?
Are you nobody too?
Tell me my dear,
are you melancholy, blue?
I merely exist day to day.
I've lost me, lost my connection.
So go take a look in the mirror.
Are you lost standing in front of your own reflection?
I bled myself dry for you.
I'd bleed words to fill an ocean for you.
Am I a book for you now?
You skim over my cover, while you sip your morning brew.
Do you dance in the dark,
fight demons like an exorcist?
My words aren't my own now.
They spill out of me from you, your my ventriloquist.
We search for our purpose.
Dress our insecurities up as pride.
My emotions are all dried up.
Like tear stains, from the waterfalls we've cried.
See I have always been convicted for being me.
I've always been the black sheep.
I don't need to show the black wool,
you'll hear it in the words that I speak.
We all have our flaws.
Integrity and sin are bound to me.
We hide behind fake smiles,
I hide behind truths I allow people to see.
You spit fire from your tongue.
I'll hold mine, I wont give empty advise.
Call it double trouble,
as if karma's greeted us twice.
No excuses and no exceptions.
I'm a product of y past.
Lead role as a villan, the victim,
and I can't remove my name from the cast.
The beautiful thing is at the end of the day,
we are all nobodies in nobody cults.
Some of us just lie into the mirror
more comfortable with their faults.
So again I ask who are you?
Did I hit home with this nobody letter?
Stare into empty mirrors,
striving to find myself, striving to get better.
